Patient Advocate (Healthcare)
Incoming/Outgoing calls to/from patients to schedule, confirm or provide instructions. Determines customers' needs and attempts to resolve the caller's inquiry or transfers the caller to the appropriate department if unable to resolve or if caller needs further assistance.
Responsible for maintaining and managing providers schedules to ensure maximum capacity. Including but not limiting to canceling and rescheduling as needed either by patient request or due to changes in the schedule
Ensures the gathering of accurate and complete patient information required to complete the scheduling or billing process
Enters all information into the EMR in accordance with documented work processes. Uploads records as needed. Processes orders and ensures completion within a timely manner
