JOB SUMMARY

The Benefits Analyst 3 plays a key role in the administration, analysis, and continuous improvement of the company's benefits programs, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, regulatory compliance, and employee satisfaction. This role requires advanced knowledge of benefits administration, strong analytical skills, and the ability to manage complex projects while providing exceptional customer service to employees.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Administer and analyze health, welfare, retirement, and wellness benefit programs.
  • Serve as subject matter expert on benefits policies, plans, and practices, providing guidance to HR team members, managers, and employees.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations (ERISA, ACA, HIPAA, COBRA, etc.).
  • Partner with external vendors, brokers, and carriers to manage relationships and resolve escalated issues.
  • Lead annual open enrollment processes, including plan design changes, system setup, employee communications, and vendor coordination.
  • Conduct audits and reconciliations to ensure data integrity, proper plan enrollment, and billing accuracy.
  • Prepare detailed benefits analysis, cost modeling, and reporting for leadership to support strategic decision-making.
  • Collaborate with HRIS and payroll teams to ensure accurate data flow between systems.
  • Assist with benefit plan renewals, RFP processes, and vendor evaluations.
  • Research benefits trends, benchmark data, and legislative changes to recommend enhancements or modifications to current offerings.
  • Handle complex employee benefit inquiries and escalations with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.
  • Provide training and education to HR staff and employees on benefit programs and processes.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in benefits administration, including health & welfare and retirement plans.
  • Strong understanding of applicable federal and state regulations.
  • Advanced analytical skills and experience with data reporting tools (Excel, HRIS systems, benefits platforms).
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and customer service skills.
  • Experience with benefits vendors, brokers, and carriers.
  • CEBS, PHR, SHRM-CP, or similar certification preferred.

 

  • Preferred Experience:
    • Experience with Dayforce Benefits Module a plus.
    • Experience supporting multiple locations or a multi-state workforce.
    • Previous involvement in M&A benefits integration is a plus.
    • Fluent in Spanish

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Operate an office workstation and other office equipment, such as a computer screen, keyboard, mouse, copier and printer for extended periods of time.  
  • Stand or remain in a stationary position for long periods of time when required.

COMPENSATION

  • Hiring Hourly Range Posted: $42.07 - $63.13
  • Actual compensation will be based on factors such as experience; skills, knowledge, and abilities; education; and other position related factors.
