Materials Analyst I (Finance)

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist with analysis and evaluation of MPO materials and service needs.
  • Analyze and manage inventory through forecasting projects, seasonal and emergency demands.
  • Acquire and distribute materials in a cost effective and timely manner, including determining inventory levels.
  • Maintain and verify records, complying with rules/laws/regulations.
  • Coordinate and schedule activities for inventory employees and contractors.
  • Assist in cross-functional teams and provides analytical support for projects.
  • Design, test, implement, document and evaluate processes and systems that support business strategies
  • Coordinate and assist with training.
  • Effective performance required to assure materials and services are available to meet corporate goals.

REQUIRED EDUCATION:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, business administration, or equivalent.
    • Candidates completing their degree by December 31, 2025, will be considered

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
  • No experience required
    • Additional experience or training in electric utility industry Operations, purchasing, or inventory administration preferred.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • This position will report regularly in person to Duluth, MN
  • Requires good interpersonal, technical and communication skills to establish and maintain productive working relationships and to enhance effective Operations.
  • This position may be subject to assessment of skills, job match and/or aptitude.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
  • The expected annual compensation range for this position is $52,000 - $64,000. Compensation offered to the selected candidate will vary depending on relevant knowledge, skills, training, experience, and market conditions.
