Position description
Answers service calls for corrective and preventive maintenance on various clinical equipment and building systems in a timely manner. Those service calls may include but are not limited to: electrical distribution, uninterruptible power supplies, computerized building controls, paging, Security Cameras, nurse call, business machines, material conveyance systems and emergency power generation. Demonstrates strong knowledge of all building electrical systems. Ensures that all assigned job duties are performed in a safe, thorough, and timely manner.
Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent; trade school preferred. Two years experience in electrical repair required.Three years experience in comprehensive electrical repair of building equipment and systems required.

Attends and participates in classes, seminars, workshops and other continuing education as appropriate to maintain and enhance professional knowledge and/or job skills in all essential functions. If applicable, maintains competence in the provision of care and services to patients of the various ages and abilities served. Participates in Continuous Quality Improvement activities. JOB KNOWLEDGE: Must be able to operate, test and maintain the following systems: Conveyance systems for computerized tube system and electric track transporters. Security and building access systems. Site and building electrical distribution systems (120V, 240V, 480V, 4160V). Davis site fire protection systems. Conduct safety tests on isolation panels and AHCA devices such as nurse call, Honeywell Fire Detection System, etc. Nurse call, paging/music systems, door openers, elevators and time stamps. Computerized parking ramp gate systems.
Must be able to operate, install, repair and maintain the following equipment and machinery:
Emergency transfer switches and electrical safety testing on all new refrigerators. All necessary test equipment such as meggar, light meter, sound meter and fiber optic light meter etc. Uninterruptible power supply units from various manufacturers. Different pieces of kitchen equipment, such as heating elements on fryers, dishwashers, hot water heaters and ovens, (all of which are high voltage). Lighting fixtures. Paralleling switchgear.
Must be available to be on-call per department schedule. (weekends and nights) Must be able to work nights and weekends for scheduled maintenance. Willing to be available for Facilities Emergencies. Physical requirements will be standing, stooping, bending, lifting, pulling, climbing, reaching, and pushing.

Compensation Detail
Education, experience and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended. The minimum pay rate is $20.39 per hour.

Monday - Friday 7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.
Weekend schedule
There is a rotating weekend coverage where the employee would work a Saturday and Sunday but get the following Monday and Tuesday off. 80 hours in the two week pay period. The weekend duty rotation is usually once every 6 weeks.
