Water Concervation Manager (Biotech)



Water Conservation Manager

Position Summary
The Water Conservation Manager is responsible for leading water conservation efforts across landscape operations by implementing smart irrigation practices and sustainable strategies. This includes managing irrigation systems, supervising a team of irrigation technicians, coordinating with internal teams, and tracking water usage data to drive efficiency and reduce consumption.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and optimize smart irrigation systems (e.g., CalSense) for efficient water use
Supervise irrigation technicians, including scheduling, training, and quality control
Partner with Field Managers to implement water-saving practices across client properties
Track and report water usage metrics and conservation outcomes
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate sustainability into daily operations
Manage conservation budgets and allocate resources effectively
Support regional initiatives and provide CalSense training as needed
Required Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Landscape Architecture, or related field or equivalent experience
3+ years of experience in water conservation, irrigation, or landscape sustainability
Experience managing field-based teams or technicians
Familiarity with smart irrigation systems and basic controller programming
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Familiarity with CRM systems
Valid Washington State drivers license with an acceptable driving record
Ability to pass a background check and drug screening, consistent with applicable laws
Preferred Qualifications
Conversational Spanish is a plus
Experience in the commercial landscaping industry is desirable
CLT (Certified Landscape Technician) certification, or willingness to obtain within 3 years (company support available)
Work Environment and Physical Requirements
Role involves both office work and field inspections, including walking job sites and working outdoors in various weather conditions. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds occasionally, with or without reasonable accommodation.
