Building Automation System Technician (Engineering)
LB&B Associates Inc. is currently seeking a Building Automation System Technician to oversee its contract to provide operations and mechanical maintenance services located at the U.S. Census Bureau Headquarters, Hillcrest Heights, MD. Working Schedule: Monday through Friday / 7:00am - 3:00pm. Hourly pay rate: $49.81 per hour. This is a full time union position.
Building Automation System Technician shall have a minimum of (5) years of experience and be knowledgeable of theory related to (BAS) Building Automation Systems, electrical and pneumatic instrumentation/controls and methods for testing, troubleshooting and calibrating such devices and systems.
Building Automation System Technician will be responsible for operating the system, providing technical support to personnel, and troubleshooting/repair of system problems.
Building Automation System Technician shall on a quarterly basis exercise all control points in the system to demonstrate that the software, hardware, and controlled devices are operating as designed.
Building Automation System Technician shall submit a quarterly report identifying all necessary corrective actions, a plan for correction, and a schedule for correction.
Building Automation System Technician shall be factory certified and trained for programming, troubleshooting, repair, and installation of the hardware specific to this installation and possess a minimum of five years of experience with this equipment.
Experience with JCI Metasys, BACNET and/or Niagara/Tridium/WEB Control a plus.
HVAC experience to include chillers, boilers, VAV's, air handler, air compressors etc..
Education: High School Diploma/G.E.D. required.
