Position Summary: 

​The Associate Director, Marketing works with a talented group of marketing professionals in the development and execution of omnichannel marketing strategies for assigned Taiho products with a focus on HCP and patient engagement. Key responsibilities include analytics leadership, promotional asset and budget management, and cross-functional collaboration. Success in this role requires oncology/hematology experience, strong project management skills, and exceptional attention to detail – all within in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment. The role requires a decisive individual with strong marketing skills, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, high curiosity and a person who thrives on leading, building, and tackling significant projects important to the growth of the company.

Performance Objectives: 

  • Help lead development of the brand's omnichannel experience (i.e., salesforce and digital), promotional strategies and tactics, including materials for both HCPs and patients. Manage materials from concept through Medical Legal Review (MLR) and final distribution.
  • Ensure consistent brand messaging and positioning across all marketing initiatives.
  • Serve as analytics team lead by identifying and pulling key performance metrics, assisting with campaign analysis, contributing to broader
  • market analytics and reporting to support the marketing brand team and inform tactical and strategic decisions.
  • Maintain an Excel-based centralized tracking system for Statements of Work (SOWs) and associated spend to ensure budget alignment and support proactive financial management.
  • Act as an additional editor by reviewing all marketing materials to ensure accuracy, consistency, and alignment with brand standards and messaging.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, cross-functional partners, and the Agency of Record to align on brand needs, manage timelines and budgets, and ensure seamless execution of marketing initiatives.
  • Manage all aspects of the Speaker Bureau.
  • Attend US based conferences to understand key market developments and perspectives of scientific leaders.

Education/Certification Requirements: 

  • BA/BS degree in science or business-related discipline preferred, or the equivalent in experience.
  • MBA or advanced like degree would be a plus. 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: 

  • Minimum 7 years of pharmaceutical marketing experience with significant responsibilities in HCP promotions. Patient promotions and/or sales experience are desirable.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of oncology/hematology experience required.
  • Launch experience preferred.
  • Strong understanding of marketing principles, strategies, and best practices
  • Strong scientific and business acumen, with the ability to use industry and marketplace knowledge to formulate strategies that identify long-term benefits for our customers.
  • Ensure all marketing activities comply with internal and external regulations and guidelines.
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully navigate internal review processes and foster effective cross-functional collaboration between working teams.
  • A positive, flexible, and proactive, self-starting mindset, with the ability to take direction and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Advanced analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and support strategic decision-making.
  • Strong organizational, project, and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and adapt to shifting brand needs.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high-quality output across all tasks and deliverables.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Requires operational proficiency with PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
  • Requires domestic travel.

The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $200,600 – $236,000 annually. This pay range is based on the market range for positions of this type. However, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including annual bonus/incentive comp plans, potential long term incentive plan, and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if a candidate/employee receives an offer of employment.  

  

If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
