Dockhand (Finance)
Position Summary
The Dockhand is responsible for assisting the marina team in order to serve marina customers and guests by performing a variety of tasks including but not limited to general operation of the docks and assisting boaters. The Dockhand must work to maintain a safe and clean environment throughout the harbor and marina facilities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Provide SHM members with the best experience possibleGreet all customers in a manner that expresses a kind, courteous and professional characterHelp orient members and guests to the marina, facilities, and answer other commonly asked questionsAssist customers with general boating needsMaintain and clean restrooms, docks, walkways, grounds and other areas designated by managementEnsure docks and equipment are operational at all timesComply with OSHA regulations, environmental regulations, and adhere to all site rules and expectationsAvailability to work overtime when requiredAbility to work weekends and holidays
Technical and Physical Requirements
Ability to work safely around the waterMust be able to swimAbility to lift 30 poundsBasic boat handling skills preferredPrevious marina experience preferredPrevious customer service experience preferred
