Position Overview

The Integration Project Manager plays a vital role in the seamless integration of newly acquired companies into the Southern Atlantic Region framework. This role leads cross-functional teams through the acquisition process, which includes due diligence and integration planning. This role requires a strategic approach to both pre-acquisition assessment and post-acquisition integration, ensuring a seamless transition and alignment with the company's strategic vision, values, and standards.

Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)

  • Partner with key leaders of each acquisition to build relationships and become a trusted advisor to effectively manage the process.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to develop and execute detailed integration plans.
  • Facilitate communication between the acquired company and the parent company to ensure clarity and alignment.
  • Oversee the transition of systems, processes, and people, minimizing disruption to ongoing operations.
  • Conduct comprehensive due diligence prior to acquisition to gather and analyze relevant data from various sources to help make informed decisions during the integration process.
  • Lead and manage the due diligence process pre-acquisition, incorporating all necessary department checklists, including finance, accounting, safety, human resources, operations, etc.
  • Montior progress against the integration plan and deadlines and report status to executive leadership.
  • Identify and categorize all relevant data sources within the companies involved in the deal.
  • Understand processes, systems and tools of newly acquired companies and determine how to align and integrate processes and systems.
  • Continuously track the progress of the set initiatives and act as a liaison between stakeholders.
  • Identify gaps and mitigate risks throughout the due diligence and integration processes.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and internal policies.
  • Lead and manage the integration process post-acquisition, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Monitor and report on the progress of integration activities, adjusting strategies as necessary.
  • Support cultural integration and change management efforts to maintain employee engagement and morale.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives based on learned best practices between both businesses.
  • Regular and predictable attendance at assigned times is required
  • Other duties as may be assigned

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education/Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Construction, or a related field, or applicable experience.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience with M&A integration, continuous improvement roles, project management, or a related area.

Knowledge/Skill Requirements

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Strong change management and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to interface and influence at all levels in the organization with a proven track record on relationship building skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization.
  • Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Knowledge of the company's industry and the specific challenges associated with integrating acquisitions.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and project management software.
  • Ability to make good judgement calls when under pressure.
  • Ability to read, write and comprehend detailed instructions.

Work Requirements

  • Must be 18 years in age or older.
  • Must pass pre-employment physical, drug screen and criminal background check.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and be able to safely drive a vehicle.
  • Strict adherence to safety requirements and procedures as per company policy.
  • Willingness to work in a team environment.
  • Willingness to travel as needed to meet with stakeholders and oversee integration activities.
  • Must be willing to work nights and weekends when necessary.
  • Individuals are required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) in designated operations and production areas as stated by OSHA and/or MSHA.
  • Compliance with all OSHA and/or MSHA regulations.

Physical Requirements

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

  • May occasionally lift move/carry up to 15 lbs. and occasionally use exertion forces of pushing/pulling of up to 15 lbs
  • Frequently required to sit, stand, walk, talk and hear, use hands and fingers to manipulate objects for extended periods of time
  • Vision abilities (with correction) include close, distance, peripheral, depth, and the ability to adjust focus
