Director of Rehab (Healthcare)



Director of Rehabilitation - Jujube Holdings LLC dba Sunnyvale Post Acute - Sunnyvale, CA.

Job Duties: Responsible for the day-to-day activities in the rehabilitation department. Deliver direct and indirect services to in-patients and out-patients, supervise all therapy personnel, interview and recommend new hires, and train all therapy personnel. Responsible for the implementation of new programs to meet the needs of the facility and its residents. Exercise the administrative authority, responsibility, and accountability necessary for carrying out all assigned duties to provide both clinical and operational oversight to the delivery of rehabilitative services. Directly supervise and guide all therapy personnel which would include licensed, registered, certified therapists, assistants, aides, and students. Complete daily scheduling for the department staff to meet the needs of the facility. Provide direct care and work with supervisor to determine appropriate caseload in tandem with management responsibilities. Assure that the rehabilitation needs of the residents are met. Conduct periodic reviews of the therapy services offered and make updates to meet the changing environment. Adhere to all regulatory standards as they pertain to the delivery of rehabilitation services. Ensure that all clinical documentation is complete, timely, and accurately reflects the services provided. Conduct periodic department documentation reviews. Coordinate denials management activities of the department to ensure that claims and/or appeals are timely and in accordance with company procedure. Meet and or exceed the productivity standards as established with supervisor. Ensure that delivered services are of the highest quality and meet all standards of practice. Implement new treatment programs. Monitor treatment programs for outcomes and adjusts plans of care in accordance. Assure that the department follows the established policies and procedures of the facility and the company. Approve timecards and time worked by department personnel. Provide evaluation input on department employees as well as be instrumental in relationship building with local hospitals and referral sites. Attend and participate in facility and company meetings as agreed to with facility and approved by the supervisor. Consistently in-service all staff regarding safe work practices with emphasis on good body mechanics, safety, and judgement to minimize work related injuries. Organize rehabilitation orientation for new department personnel. Ensure all paperwork is completed timely and distributed to the appropriate human resources personnel. Complete billing documentation timely and accurately reflecting services provided in accordance with company standards. Provide recommendations to supervisor on opportunities to improve company and services provided. Maintain confidentiality of patients' information as well as company information. Identify own areas of need for development, training, and continuing education in conjunction with supervisor. Identify potential leaders in the company as matched with specific job requirements. Identify new sources of business and contacts. Promote a positive attitude to staff, within staff, and to community regarding the company, its mission statement, philosophies, and goals. Annual salary offered: $230,000.00.

Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy or Occupational Therapy. Must have a valid State of California Physical Therapist or Occupational Therapist license.

Must have legal authority to work in the U.S. EEOE.
