Your Role:

This is a full-time Multi-Media Environmental Compliance position supporting NASA AFRC, CA. This position is onsite at AFRC and will require daily interaction and communication with NASA personnel.
• Serve as the support for multi-media environmental compliance contract that covers hazardous waste, hazardous materials, air quality, water quality, and storage tank.
• Support shop inspections, records reviews, data collection, report development, data management.
• Support Tetra Tech's Site Lead with compliance related tasks.
• Support activities related to air quality, hazardous materials, hazardous waste, water quality compliance including permitting, inspections, monitoring, and reporting.
• Support inspections and assessments of air emission sources and pollution control equipment to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Support inspections of POL equipment.
• Support report development for regulatory requirements, including greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions calculations and compliance documentation to include development of PTE calculations; TRI, Tier II reports, HW data management.
• Collect data and maintain a database for compliance programs.
• Conduct activities in line with internal procedures, legislation, and industry standards.
• Pursue continuous professional development and maintain a high degree of discipline, knowledge, and awareness.
• Work in a safe manner at all times and report all health and safety incidents and concerns.
• Additional duties as required.

The salary range for this position is $90-115K. Please note that Tetra Tech considers various factors in determining pay, including but not limited to: education, relevant and demonstrated work experience in the role, skills, geographic location, qualifications, certifications, and other competencies relevant to the needs of the business.

Qualifications:

• A Bachelor of Science degree in environmental engineering, science, or related field is required.
• 3+ years of environmental compliance experience is required.
• Knowledge of California environmental regulations is a plus.
• Knowledge of NASA environmental guidelines, systems, and processes is a plus.
• Current HAZWOPER training is required for this position.
• Must possess a valid driver's license in good standing and be able to drive to client sites.
• Must be detail oriented to properly document all environmental compliance activities occurring across the contract.

This position requires the candidate to be a U.S. Citizen due to the projects they will be working on.

Background Check: this position requires a CAC card, CUI Enclave Access and/or a Security Clearance, a background check will be completed.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include the ability to see details at close range, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Will be working in hot and cold conditions. Therefore, potential exposure to natural hazards, i.e., rain and snow.

Language & Communication Skills:
• Candidate must be fluent in the English language. Accurate report writing is a requirement of this position.
• Excellent presentation skills for preparing and presenting, planning reports and projects.

Other Skills: Instructions:
Proficient with Microsoft Office 365 products. Experience with NASA data management system is preferred.
