Accounting Administrative Assistant (Finance)
Prepare and process vendor invoices consistent with contract terms
Ensuring bills are paid in a timely and accurate manner while adhering to GPI procedures
Managing accounts payable using Deltek Vantagepoint software
Establishing and maintaining relationships with new and existing vendors
Answer phones; greet visitors
Handle mail, FedEx, Courier Services
Maintain the appearance of office
Make arrangements for internal/external meetings, including catering
Keep inventory of office and kitchen supplies
Liaison to Landlord for office needs/requests (Springfield only)
Travel Arrangements/Car Rentals
Supporting all departments by performing a variety of other administrative duties and special projects as assigned
Qualifications:
Associates degree in accounting or a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience is required
1-3 years of accounts payable experience is preferred
Basic computer skills with the ability to create and edit Microsoft Word and Excel documents, create Outlook emails, and utilize Microsoft Teams to communicate with other team members
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Superior organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize tasks, and work well under pressure
Professional attire required
Own transportation required for office errands as necessary and to handle occasional requirements in Rockville, MD and Olney, MD offices
Working knowledge of Deltek Vantagepoint is a plus
