UTILITY WORKER-ENTRY LEVEL (3p-11p and 11p-7a) PT OR FT *$1,000 HIRING PERK (Finance)
Provides a safe environment; demonstrates alertness to areas needing attention in avoiding unsafe conditions, such as: floors too wet, blocked traffic areas, etc. Uses safety signs as needed.
Addresses residents, visitors and co-workers in a pleasant and respectful manner; displays courtesy at all times. Respects the rights, privacy and property of others at all times.
Checks all lighting in and around the skilled nursing facility on a regular basis.
Replaces bulbs as needed and/or makesnecessary repairs to fixtures.
Plasters and paints walls andceilings.
Plunges toilets and drains, when necessary.
Repairs resident electrical andmechanical beds.
Cleans traps and strainers.
Repairs vertical blinds.
Assists residents with minor repairs to personal items.
Performs filter changes in airhandling equipment.
Installs safety rails for toilets.
Replaces floor and ceiling tiles.
Orders needed materials.
Inspects and repairs handrails.
Replaces toilet seats.
Cleans work area and shop area as requested.
Repairs resident call lights.
Runs electrical plant testing as requested
Holds fire drills when requested and completes all associated reports
Completes water temps and cleaning of Laundry room dryers as required and logs information timely and accurately
Checks fire alarm system and logs information appropriately
Mows lawns and removes snow and ice on numerous Homeland Center walkways, parking lots, and vehicles, etc. whenever required.
Collects and disposes of garbage and infectious waste according to all regulatory guidelines and infection controlstandards
Assists with cleaning carpets andspots as requested.
Assists with resident room transfers as required.
May be required to assist the Activities Dept with Resident transport needs as needed.
Supports and maintains a culture ofsafety and quality.
