Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add a Manufacturing Engineer located in Columbia, South Carolina.

Reporting to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager. The Manufacturing Engineer plans, directs, and coordinates manufacturing processes by providing technical support in the development, implementation, and documentation of manufacturing methods. Optimized manufacturing processes flow to meet customer product quality and delivery.

Here is a glimpse of what you'll do:

• Understand manufacturing and test equipment concepts, technologies, and techniques
• Manufacturing processes within schedule and budgetary parameters.
• Develops, evaluates, and improves manufacturing methods.
• Define equipment maintenance requirements, identify root-causes of equipment failures, and develop hands-on maintenance skills.
• Work with other engineering stakeholders and customers on problem solving and continuous improvement to the design of equipment and products and may develop corrective and preventive action plans
• May be involved in development and update of PFMEA for new products
• May participate in control plan development
• Write and update work instructions and other documents (e.g. specifications, procedures,)
• Analyzes and designs layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency.
• Confers with production group concerning product design and tooling to ensure efficient production methods.
• Coordinates with customers to determine product specifications and design changes and responds to customer request.
• Provides information for management decisions from a technical and technical cost perspective.
• Confers with management, engineering, and other staff regarding manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, and other considerations to facilitate production processes.
• Applies statistical methods to estimate future manufacturing requirements and potential.

Here is some of what you'll need (required):

• Bachelor degree in related field or equivalent experience and training.
• 5+ years Experience in Manufacturing Process and POM's
• Experience in Agile, ERP, BAAN and DMS systems
• Experience in Process Engineering
• Knowledge of the End-to-End processes (Front End / Back end)
• Key operation and engineering indicators metrics
• Advanced operations, technical and people skills.
• Knowledge of multiple functional technologies/ processes, industries or functions and understanding of interdependencies of such processes at the site.
• Advanced functional and technical skills and basic process skills.
• Skilled troubleshooting, and diagnostics, and overview of the entire test process and the ability to train others.  Able to run and explain simulations.
