Seasonal Inventory Control Lead (Finance)



POSITION PURPOSE/SUMMARY STATEMENT (defines the major functions/purpose of the position):

The Inventory Control Lead is responsible for overseeing daily inventory accuracy operations within the distribution center. This role requires strong coordination skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to auditing and process adherence. The Lead works closely with the Inventory Control Supervisor and team members to ensure compliance, efficiency, and accuracy in all inventory-related processes.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES & FUNCTIONS: (Important: both Essential and Marginal functions must equal 100%)

Average % of Time Essential/Marginal Functions DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

30% E Establish, assign, and coordinate cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy.

20% E Perform audits of completed cycle counts and develop corrective actions to address miscounts.

10% E Publish detailed audit reports covering: Aging inventory, Inventory recalls, Distribution center inventory utilization, repick trends and root causes.

5% E Generate and publish End of Day (EOD) reports summarizing the team's workload and key inventory control metrics.

15% M Train and onboard all new inventory control associates in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOPs).

10% M Evaluate associate performance through observation, reporting, and audits in partnership with the Supervisor to address performance gaps.

5% E Maintain and enforce compliance with inventory control conventions and best practices.

5%E Collaborate effectively with all organization levels including warehouse operations, quality assurance, and supply chain planning.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: The following are the required qualifications an individual needs in order to successfully perform the duties and responsibilities of this position.

Education/Experience:

High School Diploma or GED

1-2 years of logistics/warehouse/distribution experience

REQUIRED COMPETENCIES: The following are the required competencies an individual needs in order to successfully perform the duties and responsibilities of this position.

Skills/Knowledge/Behavior: Refer to Competencies Table for Appropriate job level competencies.

Functional Competencies:

• 2 plus year IC experience in a production environment

• Awareness of Inventory Control conventions

• Must be able to work well with all organizational levels

• Must have a solid knowledge of quality conventions, including documentation and records

• Knowledgeable in current trends

• Innovative with people & processes

• Highly motivated, a team player and motivated self-starter

• Experience working effectively in complex global organizations, satisfying the needs of diverse constituents, and often working under the pressure of competing and sometimes conflicting priorities

• Proficient in Microsoft Applications

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, Bilingual in Spanish a plus Solid English skills

• Ability to analyze data and produce actionable insights

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

Valid Drivers License
