Surgical Technologist - Neurology - University Hospital (6318) (Healthcare)
We are seeking a Surg Tech to:
Education:
Minimum - Completion of Surgical Technologist program.
Work Experience:
Minimum - Clinical experience either through a formal surgical technology program or prior work experience.
Preferred - One (1) year of experience as a Surgical Technologist.
Licenses and Certifications:
Minimum - Basic Life Support/CPR at time of hire or obtained within 6 months of hire dependent on the location (inpatient and outpatient surgical services at University Hospital).
Preferred - Certified Surgical Technologist (CST)
Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:
Strong communication and guest relation skills.
Strong skills in the use of written and oral language (grammar, spelling, format, etc.).
Demonstrated flexibility and adaptability to change.
Basic use of computers as appropriate to practice.
Ability to function effectively independently and as a team player.
Excellent organization and priority setting skills.
Understanding of correct dosage of drugs and solutions used on the surgical field.
Medium: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
Work Schedule: 100% FTE, 40 hours per week. Scheduled shifts are Monday through Friday from 6:40 AM - 3:10 PM and 11:30 PM - 7:00 AM. Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department.
Sign-On Bonus: This position is eligible for up to a $5,000 sign-on bonus (pro-rated on FTE/Hours).
