Director of EHR Implementation (Project Management)



The Director of Technology Implementation will lead our organization's efforts to implement new technologies efficiently and effectively. This individual will play a pivotal role in ensuring our company remains technologically competitive by coordinating the deployment of technological solutions, managing implementation teams, and successfully adopting new systems across the organization.

Essential Duties

• Strategy & Planning: Collaborate with senior leadership to identify and translate business needs into technology solutions.

• Project Management: Oversee all technology implementation projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope and budget.

• Team Leadership: Direct and manage the technology implementation team, providing mentoring, training, and guidance to ensure success.

• Stakeholder Communication: Engage with various departments to ensure smooth implementation processes and to address any concerns or challenges.

• Quality Assurance: Ensure all technologies are implemented according to specifications and are functioning correctly.

• Documentation: Ensure the creation and maintenance of implementation guidelines, best practices, and postimplementation reviews.

• Budget Management: Oversee and manage the technology implementation budget, ensuring efficient use of resources.

• Vendor Management: Establish and maintain relationships with technology vendors, ensuring the best solutions and support for our organization.

• Continuous Improvement: Regularly evaluate the implementation process to identify areas of improvement and adopt best practices.

• Training & Adoption: Facilitate training sessions and provide resources to ensure employees are comfortable with and adopt new technologies.

Personnel Functions

• Report known or suspected incidents of fraud to the supervisor.

• Ensure that departmental computer workstations left unattended are properly logged off or the password-protected automatic screensaver activates within established policy guidelines.

Staff Development

• Oversee training programs to ensure employees have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively.

• Attend and participate in mandatory in-service training programs as scheduled (e.g., OSHA, TB, HIPAA, Abuse Prevention, etc.).

• Attend and participate in workshops, seminars, etc., as approved.

Safety and Sanitation

• Report all unsafe/hazardous conditions, defective equipment, etc., to your supervisor immediately.

Equipment and Supply Functions

• Report equipment malfunctions or breakdowns to your supervisor as soon as possible.

PACS TECHNOLOGY 2023

• Ensure supplies have been replenished in work areas as necessary.

• Assure that work/assignment areas are clean and records, files, etc., are properly stored before leaving such areas on breaks, end of workday, etc

Supervisory Requirements

As Director of Technology Implementation, you are delegated the administrative authority, responsibility, and accountability necessary for carrying out your assigned duties.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Master's preferred.

• Minimum of 7 years of experience in technology implementation or a related role, with at least 3 years in a leadership capacity.

• Strong project management skills with a proven track record of successful technology implementations.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.

• Proficiency with project management software and tools.

• Ability to think strategically and execute methodically.

• Willingness to adapt to a rapidly changing environment.

Physical Demands

Must be able to move intermittently throughout the workday. Must be able to speak and write English in an understandable manner. Must be able to cope with the mental and emotional stress of the position. Must possess sight/hearing senses or use prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately so that the requirements of this position can be fully met. Must function independently, have personal integrity, have flexibility, and the ability to work effectively with other personnel. Must meet the general health requirements set forth by the policies of this facility, which include a medical and physical examination. Must be able to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of 25 pounds to a minimum height of 5 feet and be able to push, pull, move, and/or carry such weight a minimum distance of 50 feet.
