Responsibilities:

The Senior Program Manager is a seller-doer role that leads the strategy, development, capture, and execution of environmental and engineering projects. Environmental services include evaluation and management of potential environmental liabilities; site investigation, risk assessment, remediation, and construction management; compliance and permitting; RCRA, CERCLA, TSCA, CWA and NEPA support; property redevelopment; and communication and negotiation with federal, state, and local regulatory agencies.
Your Responsibilities:
• Develop new client accounts and work with existing Tetra Tech account managers and market sector leaders to expand existing client accounts with a focus on the Federal DoD.
• Prepare and deliver business presentations and proposals, manage projects, and perform technical work as necessary balancing sales and utilization. Assemble and lead teams to effectively and efficiently complete projects on time and within budget and regulatory guidelines.
• Develop and implement growth strategies to increase client base for a broad range of integrated services including planning, site investigation, risk assessment, remediation, construction, and construction management services.
• Lead teams to meet or exceed client expectations, achieve projects schedules, maintain budgets, achieve or exceed established profit goals, maintain quality, and ensure appropriate plans are in place for safe work performance.
• Identify and foster small business relationships to position for and win work with government clients.
• Identify, develop, and nurture strategic joint venture partnerships for major government projects.
• Lead and manage multi-million dollar projects and programs.
• Provide technical expertise and direction to project teams to solve complex project issues to assure client satisfaction and project success.
• Lead, mentor, and develop junior and mid-level program and project staff to grow the volume of work and to position our business for success well into the future.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Science is required; advanced degree is a plus.
• Professional Registration (e.g., PE or PG) is strongly preferred; Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus.
• Twenty-five (25) years or more of experience in environmental consulting and remediation services with experience in program/project management, business development, and strategic planning.
• Prior experience leading major projects and interacting with a wide variety of federal DoD branches. Additional experience with Federal non-DOD state and municipal governments, and the commercial markets is a plus.
• Experience with USACE Rapid Response Program is a plus.
• Track record of successfully leading teams to gain repeat customer business and also win work with new customers.
• Prior experience with coordinating with Task Order/Project Managers, providing programmatic guidance, direction, and coaching.
• Willingness and ability to travel as needed, approximately up to 25%, as necessary for business needs.

This position requires the candidate to be a U.S. Citizen due to the projects they will be working on.

• Occasional trips to project site locations may require that the employee walk over uneven surfaces and potentially up/down steps or hills.

• Most work is anticipated to be office-based; participating in some site visits is a strong possibility.
• Client or company meetings away from the office are likely.
• This position will require travel by car or by air; anticipated to be approximately 20%. Some trips will require multiple overnights stays.

Language & Communication Skills:

• Must be fluent in speaking and writing English.
• Must possess excellent writing capabilities and have experience generating reports suitable for submittal to clients.
• Must possess effective communication and verbal skills.
• Must be able to develop and lead business development, project summary, and technical status presentations.

Other Skills: Instructions:

• The candidate must possess mathematical skills commensurate with having earned a BS degree in engineering, science, or a related technical field.
• Must be fluent in current computer applications and programs relevant to performing the job.
