Supervisor, Inventory (Finance)

Responsibilities

Maintains up-to-date inventory control numbers through established stores control program, cycle counts and visual estimates.

Develop target inventory levels and set up action plan to reduce inventory levels.

Monitor the impact to inventory based upon forecast changes.

Monitor target levels compared to actual inventory by SKU's.

Assists production supervisors in determining pending shortages and alerts purchasing department of possible problem areas.

Mentor / training function.

Maintains perpetual inventory records through cycle counts.

Develops forecasting procedures based on sales history that will project production part requirements.

Participates in long and short term planning related to inventory.Qualifications

• 5+ years of related inventory experience.
• Working knowledge of MS Word and Excel.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles preferred.
• Ability to manage one large site or multiple small site.
• Experience with enterprise resource planning systems such as JD Edwards and MXP.

Education

Undergraduate degree required.Qualifications
