Tax Incentives and Credits Accountant (Finance)

Position Overview:
The Tax Credit & Incentives Accountant is responsible for items including but not limited to researching available tax credits and incentives across various states, researching and connecting with potential clients/businesses that qualify for tax incentives, assisting with completing compliance paperwork for government incentive programs, reviewing and analyzing clients employment and financial data to determine program eligibility, assisting with drafting clients proposals and filling of application forms.
Responsibilities:
Research, Compliance, & Relationship Building

Write tax credits methodology Perform investments analysis Assist with completing compliance paperwork for government incentive programs Proactively identify potential problems and bring them to the attention of management Research potential clients and become familiar with their scope of work Analyze clients employment data (payroll, W-2, etc.) to determine potential programs or incentives they may qualify for Meet with new and current clients to gather valuable information and discuss growth opportunities Use clients information to find tax incentive programs at the state and local level Research available benefits and incentive programs in multiple states and municipalities Write and prepare proposals to present to clients Perform quarterly and annual compliance analysis Research Tax matters Assist with filing of application forms

Participate in weekly CPA L10 meetings May perform site visits when necessary to meet with clients to build reports and gather additional information Perform other related duties as required
Qualifications:
2-year degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field required Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field preferred Ability to build and establish relationships Excellent Microsoft Office skills - Excel, Word, Outlook, etc. Ability to work effectively, both independently and as part of a team Extensive Microsoft Excel experience. Ability to organize large amounts of data. Ability to create or uncover new business opportunities Possesses strong project management and organizational skills. Broad business knowledge (law, accounting, tax, and human resources preferred). Strong experience with structuring transactions and proficient in partnership taxation Experience analyzing financial data Experience in forensic accounting preferred
