Avionics Specialist (F-15E) (Maintenance)
PKL Services Inc. is contracted to maintain and operate Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF) F-15SG and United States Air Force (USAF) F-15E aircraft and equipment assigned to the 366th Fighter Wing located at Mountain Home AFB (MHAFB), Idaho. PKL employees at this site are subject to a Union/Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) regarding employment terms and work rules.
The Avionics Specialist is responsible for aircraft avionics systems troubleshooting equipment repairs, component removal and replacement, classified item management, aircraft ground handling, servicing, and cleaning.
Other key responsibilities include:
Responsible for aircraft systems troubleshooting, on equipment repairs, component remove/replacement, aircraft ground handling, servicing and cleaning IAW DAFI 21-101.
Inspect, analyze, troubleshoot, and maintain aircraft avionics systems such as instruments systems, flight controls, communication, navigation, identification, and penetration aids on assigned F-15SG aircraft.
Interpret, operate, troubleshoot, remove, replace, repair, service, overhaul and install F-15SG avionics system components.
Isolate avionics failures using wiring and schematic diagrams.
Perform reprogramming of avionics/electronic warfare systems as required by applicable mission directives and TCTOs.
Perform aircrew and maintenance debriefs as required.
Perform duties as defined by applicable Air Force Instructions (AFIs), along with any USAF like functions typically performed within their associated career field.
May be cross utilized to assist with completing general phase work card items.
Any and all other duties as directed by the Program Manager/Site Manager.

High School Diploma or equivalent.
Must be authorized to work in the United States.
Prior qualified/certified 7-level with a minimum of six (6) years F-15 experience performing as an Avionics Specialist.
Must be able to obtain and retain a Secret security clearance.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:
This position requires normal physical functions.
Work may require frequent bending, reaching, and climbing.
May frequently lift and carry items weighing up to fifty pounds and occasionally lift heavier items with the assistance of other workers.
Work may be performed on top or under equipment in cramped or awkward positions, including the F-15 cockpit.
Normal color/depth perception and no record of emotional instability are required.
May be required to work in areas in or near a hangar/ flight line that may be noisy at times.
May be exposed to moderate discomforts, such as heat, cold and wind.
May be required to wear personal protective equipment when in or passing thru a hazardous area.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud at times.
