Corporate Lead Buyer- Technology (Finance)

Join BIOTRONIK as a Corporate Lead Buyer - Technology, where you'll play a pivotal role in global sourcing of IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, hardware, cloud migrations, and telecommunications. Be part of a dynamic team that integrates technical expertise with strategic procurement to support BIOTRONIK's success.

As an individual contributor, you'll bridge Corporate IT Shared Services, suppliers, departments, and Corporate Procurement Shared Services to drive top-tier performance for our IT product groups.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead global procurement activities for IT technology product groups
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to buyers at regional locations worldwide
  • Utilize SAP ARIBA for end-to-end procurement processes
  • Develop and implement innovative sourcing strategies
  • Manage supplier relationships and internal partnerships
  • Achieve positive negotiation outcomes through procurement best practices
  • Identify and implement opportunities for process improvements, cost reductions, and efficiencies
  • Oversee the Request for Proposal (RFP) process, including sourcing vendors, developing RFPs, scheduling vendor meetings, and providing detailed analysis and recommendations
  • Negotiate and execute global agreements and manage the contract lifecycle of complex agreements
  • Lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams within a matrix organization
  • Communicate effectively with and influence internal and external leadership
  • Employ strong knowledge of industry and market dynamics
  • Efficiently manage multiple projects and competing deliverables

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • 5+ years of experience in category management, strategic sourcing, or procurement
  • 2+ years with a technology sourcing focus
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field
  • Familiarity with procurement best practices
  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills
  • Experience managing and writing Requests for Proposals (RFP process)
  • Experience in supporting legal, including knowledge of standard contract structures and key terms
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Expert time management skills with an ability to manage multiple projects
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and able self-manage daily work
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
  • Ability to think globally and work with an international, culturally diverse team
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, QLIK, SAP, and ARIBA
  • Fluent English skills; German an added value
  • Membership in procurement and/or information technology organizations, preferred
  • Procurement and/or information technology certifications, preferred
  • Experience managing global category spend exceeding $50 million, preferred

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

  • This is a hybrid full-time position that allows for working from home up to three days per week. Standard workdays are Monday through Friday. Hours may vary depending on the supported time zone. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required.

Travel:

  • 15-20% of domestic and international travel as needed
