Part-Time Programmer/Analyst (Germantown) (Finance)

  • Associate Degree in Computer Sciences or equivalent experience required.
  • Minimum of eight years of experience in the elevator industry.
  • Minimum of six years of experience with various programming languages.
  • Ability to interoperate engineering data and write programs using VB.Net/Visual Studio and C-Sharp.
  • SQL experience preferred.
  • Excellent elevator product knowledge from both a system and component perspective.
  • Excellent understanding of layout, contract engineering and manufacturing processes.
  • Strong knowledge of data analysis, report development and programming in customer service and manufacturing environments.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Proficient in Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Practical Problem solving

TK Elevator is currently seeking an experienced Part-Time Programmer/Analyst located in Germantown, TN.

This role will plan and design elevator layout and BIM automation solutions for supporting the product configuration value stream, which includes external customers, sales, layout submittals, engineering, contract engineering, field operations, orderBOM development and various manufacturing processes. Requirements include but not limited to experience with product configurator development, elevator system and component knowledge and component relationships and calculations.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUCNTIONS:

  • Responsible for continual process improvements that facilitate data integrity, improve delivery cycle times, reduce cost and eliminate process waste.
  • Develop and maintain product configuration tools utilizing various software solutions API's such as Liftdesigner, SolidWorks and Configit (product configurator).
  • Responsible for analyzing engineering information and translating the data into formula's and algorhythms, 3D models and drawings that provide value-engineered or optimized solutions for both pre-engineered and engineered products.
  • Participate in cross-functional teams supporting the development of a robust product configuration
    value stream for pre-engineered products.
  • Along with engineering, contract engineering and manufacturing, drive the collaboration, design and implementation of tools that support the product configuration value stream for engineered products.
  • Participate in the Engineering Change Order process supporting new product introductions and the maintenance of legacy products.
  • Perform troubleshooting.
  • Team member mentoring.
  • Work in conjunction with other team members in the IT department.
  • Help develop and participate in future lifecycle management processes, which will include development, test, full-system test, manufacturing release, etc.
  • Assignments require original thinking and ingenuity to solve problems.
  • Communicate information well to others using verbal or electronic medium (i.e. Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Other duties may be assigned.
