Job Description
This is a key role helping the Global Warehousing function. As the Senior Warehouse Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that our central warehouse operation runs seamlessly and efficiently. Your main focus will be to streamline our warehousing, inventory, and cost management efforts, working closely with internal departments and external partners. A successful candidate will be an exceptional people manager with excellent operations management skills and experience in ERP / WMS systems (SAP). The incumbent will establish relationships with Intuitive Surgical business unit customers, vendors, and key collaborators.

Key Responsibilities

  • Directly manage Intuitive Surgical warehouse operation, ensuring effective utilization of space, safety protocols, and efficient stock movement.
  • Partner with internal Center of Excellence to ensure efficient and cost-effective storage and distribution solutions.
  • Act as the primary liaison between various departments within the company, facilitating smooth communication and timely resolution of any challenges.
  • Oversee and manage all inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring timely deliveries and optimal efficiency. Coordinate with freight companies and internal teams to ensure the timely receipt and dispatch of goods.
  • Inventory Management: Partner with planning / procurement to manage inventory levels, ensuring optimal stock levels are maintained.
  • Implement strategies for efficient stock rotation, reducing wastage and costs associated with holding excessive inventory.
  • Coordinate regular stock checks, reconcile inventory records, and ensure accuracy of stock data.
  • Study return data to identify trends, root causes, and areas for improvement, implementing changes as necessary.
  • Cost Data and Optimization: Review storage and shipment costs to identify areas for savings and optimization.
  • Implement strategies and negotiate contracts to achieve cost reductions without compromising service quality.
  • ERP System Expertise: Leverage experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP, to optimize operational processes, ensure data accuracy, and generate insights for continuous improvement.
  • Drive building continuous improvement opportunities that will deliver significant freight savings and improve customer service
Qualifications
Skills/Background Needed
  • Minimum BS in Supply Chain / Logistics or related field
  • 10+ years of Global Logistics / Warehousing Experience
  • 10+ years with direct management / people management experience
  • 10+ years of Global Logistics Supplier Experience preferably warehouse automation solution

Key Required Skills, Knowledge, and Capabilities
  • Knowledge of Warehousing / Distribution Operations and processes
  • Ability to manage multiple cross functional and cross organizational projects
  • Bring extensive industry knowledge and demonstrated ability to influence at the warehousing leadership level
  • Experience implementing warehousing automation technologies
  • Knowledge of identifying and implementing Key Performance indicators
  • Warehouse / distribution Process Improvement knowledge
  • Budget Experience / Tracking Actuals to Budget
  • Organization skills, able to multi-task, and can manage time to meet frequently changing deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be a team player, amenable to a variety of work projects.
  • Proven social skills to deal effectively with all levels of the organization.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, benefits, and equity. It would not be typical for someone to be hired at the top end of range for the role, as actual pay will be determined based on several factors, including experience, skills, and qualifications. The target salary ranges are listed.

Base Salary Range Region 1: $168,600 USD - $253,000 USD
Base Salary Range Region 2: $143,400 USD - $215,000 USD
