What you will do

PGIM Multi-Asset Solutions (PMAS) is the solutions specialist of PGIM, delivering deep investment expertise across public and private asset classes. Our Insurance Portfolio Strategy team serves as the strategic investment engine for our insurance clients, providing customized asset allocation and portfolio solutions.

This position is based in our office in Newark, New Jersey and will follow a hybrid schedule (3 days in office).

What you can expect

We are seeking a highly motivated Investment Analyst to join our Insurance Portfolio Strategy team within PMAS Investment organization. The Senior analyst will support the development and execution of strategic asset allocation (SAA) and portfolio construction for insurance clients. This role requires strong analytical capabilities, a working knowledge of insurance and investment frameworks, and a collaborative mindset.

  • Support the development and implementation of transaction-level SAA and portfolio recommendations for insurance clients.

  • Prepare SAA presentations and asset allocation proposals tailored to client needs.

  • Evaluate new investment strategies and asset classes, considering factors such as relative value, capital efficiency, operational feasibility, and regulatory implications.

  • Refine investment strategies based on internal and external factors, including ALM considerations, liquidity, market conditions, and industry trends.

  • Analyze regulatory developments across jurisdictions and assess their impact on client portfolios.

  • Conduct scenario analysis, stress testing, and sensitivity analysis for market and credit exposures.

  • Support ALM-related analyses, including hedging strategies and trade-off evaluations.

  • Assist with investment-related tasks in reinsurance M&A transactions.

  • Collaborate with the analytics team to leverage internal tools and enhance portfolio analytics capabilities.

What you will bring

  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline; Master's degree preferred.

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in strategic asset allocation, portfolio construction, or portfolio management.

  • Experience with insurance-related investing or understanding of insurance balance sheets is a strong plus.

  • Solid knowledge of fixed income markets, with exposure to private asset classes such as asset-backed finance and residential mortgages.

  • Demonstrated high performance in previous roles with strong analytical thinking and attention to detail.

  • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with Power BI, SQL, and Python strongly preferred.

  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

What will set you apart?

  • CFA charter holder or progress toward CFA preferred; other relevant designations (FRM, CAIA, etc) and/or actuarial credentials are a plus.

Note: The salary range for this role is from $120,000 to $145,000. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills.
