Quality Inspector II (Manufacturing)

JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for performing inspection and/or audits of quality control programs. Performs packaging line and manufacturing inspections, and sampling and testing of completed products. Ensures raw materials, in-process and finished products meet company standards. May apply approval or rejection labels to material once analytical data is evaluated. Minimizes down time by reducing production rework and recalls.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Regular attendance is an essential function of this job.
Applies job skills and company policies and procedures to complete a wide range of difficult tasks.
Works on assignments that are moderately complex in nature where judgment is required in resolving problems and making routine recommendations
Normally receives some instruction on routine work, general instruction on new assignments
Interface with engineering and purchasing on issues relating to product performance/quality.

High School; or three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS
Ability to read and communicate general procedures and blue prints.
· Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
· Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
· Ability to operate a computer including using a Windows based operating system and related software.
· Advanced PC skills, including training and knowledge of Jabil's software packages.
· Ability to write simple correspondence. Read and understand visual aid.
· Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions.
· Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
· Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
· Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
· Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret graphs.
