What You'll Get to Do
The Shipping position is focused on moving on/off loading of glass from tables, rolling racks, delivery trucks, or wood crates for eight or more hours daily. Packing items according to shipping needs or supervisors' specifications; ensuring that the crates/boxes and packages are accurately packed and reports to the Shipping Supervisor.
This role is perfect for an individual who is safety minded, a team player and detail oriented. A vital member of the Shipping Team this is an opportunity to build a career with an industry leader.
Job responsibilities include:
- Assembling boxes, crates, or containers and labeling and marking containers and insert lining or padding material to protect items during shipment
- Weighing, measuring and counting product
- Completing clerical tasks with the ability to use shop floor computer and RF equipment
- Conducting inspections to examine products and make sure they meet our specifications for quality and aren't damaged
- Regular and predictable attendance, the ability to safely perform tasks, and adherence to all safety policies and procedures are essential functions of your job
What We Are Looking For
- One year of prior manufacturing, warehouse, maintenance, or construction experience preferred
- Basic mechanical aptitude and computer skills
- Demonstrated experience with basic hand tools including tape measure, pneumatic tools, cranes and mechanical tools
- Strong attention to detail
- Above average organizational skills
