Shipping/Warehouse Specialist

The shipping/warehouse specialist will verify and maintain records on incoming and outgoing shipments. Prepare items for shipment. Responsible for accurate on-time shipments to customers within regulatory compliance. Resolves order issues with customer service, production, transportation and carriers.

Essential Job Functions:

  • GHS/EPA Label Generation and coordination with Planning and MFG
  • IATA/DOT and other associated regulatory paperwork generation
  • Be familiar with assembling, repacking, and addressing, labeling and shipping material.
  • Arranging and coordination for the transportation of products to customers and affiliates
  • Conferring with cross departmental leads (Warehouse, Finance, Regulatory, Quality, Procurement, Planning and Production and security to determine progress of work and completion dates
  • Back up to Warehouse Leader
  • Use computers for various applications, such as database management SAP to process and support the order fulfillment process.
  • Answer telephones, respond to emails and provide information to appropriate individuals.
  • Create, maintain, and enter information into databases/customer routing websites.
  • Set up and manage paper or electronic filing systems, recording information, updating paperwork, and maintaining documents such as shipping paperwork.
  • Operate office equipment, such as fax machines, copiers, and printers and arrange for repairs when equipment malfunctions.
  • Complete forms in accordance with company procedures.
  • Greet carriers and handle their inquiries or direct them to the appropriate location.
  • Coordinate projects or contribute to committee or teamwork.
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Associates degree desired
  • 1-4+ years of relevant experience
  • ERP/SAP experience a plus
  • Supply chain experience a plus
