Aquatics Manager (Personal Services)
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Oversee all aspects of aquatics operations, including recreational swim, lap swim, swim lessons, water fitness classes, and swim meets.
Recruit, hire, train, schedule, and evaluate aquatic staff, including lifeguards, swim instructors, and support personnel.
Ensure compliance with local, state, and national safety and health regulations, including Red Cross and American Lifeguard Association standards.
Maintain pool water quality and chemical levels, coordinating with maintenance staff to ensure optimal facility operations.
Develop, promote, and manage aquatic programs and events to serve a wide range of community members.
Manage the departments budget, purchasing, and inventory, including swim supplies, safety equipment, and chemicals.
Respond to emergencies, incidents, and patron concerns in a professional and timely manner.
Coordinate with schools, swim teams, and external groups for facility rentals and swim meets.
Maintain detailed records including certifications, inspections, incident reports, and operational logs.
Work collaboratively with other facility managers and departments across Mylan Park.
