Senior Tooling Engineer (Manufacturing)

Responsibilities:

• Lead design, detail, and development of tooling and equipment specifications for new product development.
• Provide tooling cost, capital cost, and lead times on new product development and legacy mold modifications/repairs.
• Work with cross functional development team (Product Management, Part Design Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, & Finance) related to design for manufacture issues.
• Interpret mold flow analysis to optimize tool performance and provide recommendation on proper molding machines.
• Support manufacture facilities with legacy mold issues/concerns.
• Provide support on new Product Development injection mold launches cradle to grave, must provide support after "Release to Operations".
• Select tooling vendors and manage the relationship.
• Identify, qualify, selection, tracking and score card for new tooling and existing production tools.
• Contribute to product design during development stage to ensure quality results meet tooling standards and production requirements.
• Work with Manufacturing Engineering and Finance to recommend processing options for optimum tool performance of good pieces produced at the lowest cost with high levels of quality.

Education:

Required - High school diploma or equivalent

Desired - Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field; Journeyman mold maker certificate

Experience:

Required - 8 years of relevant work experience

Desired - Plastics or welding experience

Travel:

50 - 75% travel; domestic and international

Valid driver's license required; Motor Vehicle Report required
