OPS - SERI Program Planner Analyst (Finance)

JOB SUMMARY
A Program Planner/Analyst is a professional who promotes, develops, coordinates and/or manages the collection of data established by the SERI programs, activities and operation. The Program Planner/Analyst participates in the management of data related resources and the analysis program, activities and operational data. This position serves as the lead data manager to support the overall mission of the Office of SERI.

NATURE OF WORK
The Program Planner/Analyst is responsible for organizing, analyzing, and ensuring the quality, security, and accessibility of data related to SERI's programs, activities, events, and organizational data. This role supports data governance initiatives and collaborates with various USF units to maintain proper data collection, integrity and optimize data processes for operational insight and efficiency. This position is responsible for performing professional work that is substantially varied in nature under general direction from the Director, Assistant Director, or other appropriate administrator. Assignments are received in the form of results expected, and there is substantial discretion to determine procedures and work products. The Program Planner/Analyst ensures that the goals and objectives of the Office of SERI are accomplished by the collection of data and analyses. This position requires skills in data collection, data analysis, data management, communication, technology and project management. A Program Planner/Analyst may be responsible for direct supervision of support staff, or for serving in a staff leadership role to assign and schedule work.MINIMAL QUALIFICATIONS / EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
This position requires a Bachelor's degree in a field directly related to the program responsibilities and two years of professional experience; or Master's degree in an area of specialization appropriate for the program.

TECHNICAL SKILLS
Proficiency in SQL and data query tools.
Experience with data visualization platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
Understanding data governance, data modeling, and database management systems.
Familiarity with Excel, Python/R (a plus), and data warehouse solutions

SOFT SKILLS
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Effective communication and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

SCHEDULE
Office hours are 8:00am - 5:00pm Monday-Friday. The employee will coordinate with the supervisor for a schedule within this time frame. Maximum of 20 hours per week.

$25.00 per hourWorking at USF

Collect, validate, clean, and maintain large datasets from internal and external sources.
Develop and implement data management strategies, policies, and best practices.
Ensure data quality and integrity through audits, data profiling, and validation checks.
Collaborate with data specialists in various units at USF to define data requirements.
Create and maintain documentation related to data structures, definitions, and workflows.
Support data governance frameworks, including metadata management, data cataloging, and compliance.
Assist in the design and development of dashboards, reports, and ad hoc analyses.
Monitor and troubleshoot data issues and discrepancies, working toward timely resolutions.
Help ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and internal security standards.
Utilize data tools and platforms such as SQL, Excel, Power BI/Tableau, or data warehouses.
Perform other duties as required to meet the overall mission, goals, and objectives of the Office of SERI. Apply
