Requirements and Description

ERMC Aviation is seeking a skilled Baggage Handling Technician to join our aviation team. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience with industrial equipment and a proven track record in mechanical repairs. We are seeking a skilled Technician to join our team at Unifi. In this role, you will play a vital part in maintaining our ground operations, ensuring that all systems function smoothly to support our mission of providing safe and efficient service to our airline partners.

The selected candidate is responsible for but not limited to:

Keep our critical systems running smoothly by handling repairs and maintenance on various mechanical systems. This includes working with bearings, gearboxes, drive belts, and conveyor systems. You'll be the go-to person for troubleshooting mechanical issues and finding practical solutions.

Qualifications:

• At least 2 years of experience working in an aviation environment, specifically with baggage conveyor systems

• 3G or higher welding certification

• Proven experience with welding techniques, including MIG and TIG welding

• Strong knowledge of oxygen acetylene torch operation

• Expertise in light metal fabrication

• Proficiency with both hand and power tools

• Experience in mechanical maintenance

Standard qualifications:

• Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship. Completing

• Must possess a Government ID and social security card.

• Must be able to obtain and keep an airport security badge.

• Must have or be able to attain reliable transportation.

• Able to work in extreme conditions, such as hot and cold weather, as well as small spaces

• Able to receive appropriate security clearances after completing a criminal background check.

• Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

• Must be able to work extended hours depending on operational needs.

• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
