Individual & Major Gifts Manager (Finance)

POSITION DUTIES:

1. Design and manage a comprehensive individual donor acquisition and stewardship program, including:
Donor acquisition
Donor stewardship
Develop and implement donor recognition events and touchpoints throughout the year.
Ensure timely and personalized acknowledgment of gifts, including thank you letters, impact reports, and other recognition.
Identify opportunities for donor upgrades and re-engagement. For example, increase donors' annual contributions and increase planned giving involvement.
Lead the planning and execution of individual annual appeal
Manage the individual fundraising portfolio

2. Develop and manage a comprehensive major gift and planned gift program:
Identification of prospects with capacity to make major gift or planned gift.
Cultivation of donors to become major gift donors
Assign and support major donor stewardship by the VP, Philanthropy and CEO

3. Manage the CRM database and reporting:
Maintain accurate donor records and gift history in the CRM database.
Generate reports and analyze donor data to identify trends, retention rates, and giving patterns.
Utilize the CRM to document and track the sequence of interactions ("moves") with a prospective donor, including setting reminders for follow-up.

4. Assist in the planning and execution of other fundraising campaigns and appeals as needed.

5. Assist with communications and impact reporting:
Collaborate with the marketing and communications team to create donor-centric content such as newsletters, reports, and campaign updates.
Work with program staff to collect stories, photos, and metrics to communicate donor impact.
Report to the philanthropy and partnerships team on moves management progress.

6. Collaborate and coordinate with colleagues:
Partner with the philanthropy and partnerships team to align stewardship with fundraising campaigns and appeals.
Partner with the board of directors and executive team to engage with the stewardship plan.
Partner with the marketing and communications team to support annual campaigns and fundraising strategies.
