Systems Specialist I (Finance)

TransCore (TRN), a subsidiary of ST Engineering, is hiring a Systems Specialist I to join our team in Orlando, FL.

Summary
The Systems Specialist will work under direct/indirect supervision and install, maintain, test, and configure tolling software systems and lane equipment. The specialist will possess intermediate technical knowledge to implement and support System Setup, Maintenance, and Audit initiatives. The specialist will provide technical support and resolve problems of a moderately complex nature.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform general problem-solving and assist with software applications and hardware systems.
• Provide exceptional phone and email support to our customers experiencing software or hardware-related issues within our tolling software.
• Provide individual and group instructions and training on tolling software and hardware to faculty, staff, and interns. May lead junior staff and interns performing the same or similar type of work.
• Perform varied technical assistance and maintenance duties; configure, maintain, and update the TransCore tolling system; document projects; create and maintain user instructions and troubleshooting tips in a shareable knowledge base.
• Perform moderately advanced technological systems support, maintenance, and testing to ensure proper system upkeep; may troubleshoot and resolve somewhat complex system hardware, software, and network failures and conflicts.
• Participate in reviewing, evaluating, and recommending hardware, software, and network solutions.
• Participate in research and development initiatives and assist in implementing new technologies.
• Serve as a primary project member on technology projects with moderate scope and impact may provide guidance and integration of other staff work.
• Maintain currency of knowledge concerning technology, equipment, and systems.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Typically requires 2-5 years of related experience.
• Knowledge of various computer systems software, applications, hardware, networking, and communications.
• Software Testing and Test Automation experience.
• Ability to perform preventive maintenance on systems software, applications, hardware, networking, and communications.
• Computer literate; Windows, troubleshooting skills, good writing, communication, and customer service skills.
