Development and Integration Lead (Finance)

**THIS POSITION REQUIRES RESIDING IN THE MISSOULA, MT AREA.

We're seeking a hands-on performer to serve as the custom Development and Integration Lead at Washington Companies where you'll not only lead a team but also dive into technical projects yourself, overseeing and contributing to development and integration tasks for both on-premises and SaaS applications. In this dual-role position, you'll lead a talented team responsible for developing and supporting custom and integrated applications across our enterprise, while also directly engaging in technical work like architecture planning, configuring systems, and building integrations. Your expertise will be advised to assist the department in creating roadmaps, ensuring seamless upgrades, and support the overall development lifecycle. A key part of your work will involve coordinating with cross-functional teams, crafting standards, and actively troubleshooting issues, especially post-go-live, to ensure reliable performance.Technical Skills Required:

• Experience with enterprise integration and workflow automation, including Azure Integration Services (Logic Apps, API Management, Service Bus, and Event Grid), as well as Azure Functions.
• Experience developing large-scale custom applications hosted on-premises or in Azure, using the .NET framework and C#.
• Knowledge of Microsoft 365, including collaboration and communication tools such as Microsoft Teams, SharePoint Online, Viva Engage, and Loop; as well as automation and app development tools including Power Automate, Power Apps, and Power Virtual Agents.
• Experience with Azure DevOps Pipelines and/or GitHub Actions to automate the build, test and deployment integrations and custom software.

Application Lifecycle, Process & Team Skills Required:

• Proven ability to lead and manage direct reports in analysis, development, and support for custom applications or integrations into off the shelf applications, including customizations and new solutions to these applications.
• Background working with diverse/multiple teams, new solutions and technologies, supporting custom & 3 rd party interfaces.
• Accountable for availability and performance of the development portfolio, including ownership of incidents and release management
• Assisting to establish a QA practice, including an application support delivery practice to ensure delivered solutions can be properly maintained and supported.
• Ability to communicate project status to various levels of management in both technical and non-technical terms
• Advise on the professional development of the team, ensuring that they are equipped with the skills needed to deliver quality and effective work.
• Foster a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and innovation within the team.

Position Requirements:

• Relevant Bachelor's degree; or equivalent experience; 5+ years of software development experience
• 3-5 years experience in complete life cycle of software development.
• Demonstrated use of the Microsoft suite of development products and tools including .Net, C#, C++, Azure Integration Services and Azure DevOps Pipelines
• Hands on experience with troubleshooting and resolving delivered solutions with an aptitude for problem identification and quickly developing effective solutions.
• Ability to build strong rapport with direct reports to ensure they are challenged and successful in work assignments

Hours

This is a salaried hybrid work position with some flexibility in hours. Employees will be expected to deliver a full 40-hour week. Applicant must be willing to work additional or non-standard hours to support critical system issues and/or delivery of time-critical project deadlines.The Development and Integration Lead is responsible to guide and lead custom development and technical integration services across the Washington Companies. This role will be responsible for both on-premise applications and SaaS applications requiring customizations or integrations. This position will establish and set standards and development best practices to guide the team and ensure the optimal function and delivery of our developed applications as well as confirm policies and standards are followed and adhered to. You will be responsible for collaborating with the department Director and Sr Enterprise Applications manager on best practices and structuring the team for short and long-term success, including software architecture selection, and utilizing similar standards across the software development lifecycle.

The lead position will assist with resource management to ensure that projects, milestones and goals are met and resources are working efficiently and effectively. This resource must be able to work independently and work as a member of a development team. Limited travel to business locations throughout Canada and US. This is a full-time permanent staff position located in Missoula, Montana.
