Workforce Management Senior Manager, Long Range Forecasting & Capacity Planning - Evernorth - Remote (Finance)



POSITION SUMMARY

Seeking a dynamic and strategic Workforce Management Forecasting and Capacity Planning Leader to spearhead the evolution of our operational efficiency and resource optimization. This pivotal role will be instrumental in ensuring we have the right talent in the right place at the right time, directly impacting our business success, customer satisfaction, and employee experience.

As the Workforce Management Forecasting and Capacity Planning Leader, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing comprehensive forecasting models and capacity plans that align with our strategic objectives and operational demands. You will be a key driver in moving beyond reactive staffing towards proactive, data-driven strategies that enhance performance, mitigate risks, and foster a positive and sustainable work environment.

Candidates who reside within 50 miles of the following locations will be required to perform onsite 3 days per week: Bloomfield, CT; Chattanooga, TN; Denver, CO; St Louis, MO; and Scottsdale, AZ.

Primary Functions

  • Develop and Implement Forecasting Models: Design, implement, and maintain sophisticated forecasting models utilizing historical data, business trends, seasonality, and anticipated growth to accurately predict future workload demands across various operational areas.
  • Drive Capacity Planning Strategies: Translate forecasting insights into actionable capacity plans, ensuring optimal staffing levels and skill mix to meet service level agreements (SLAs), maximize efficiency, and capitalize on business opportunities.
  • Risk Mitigation: Identify and proactively address potential risks associated with understaffing or overstaffing, including increased operational costs, decreased customer satisfaction, missed revenue opportunities, and employee burnout.
  • Strategic Optimization: Lead the strategic optimization of workforce management processes, identifying opportunities for automation, process improvement, and the implementation of best practices.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting: Leverage workforce data to generate insightful reports, identify trends, and provide recommendations to leadership on staffing strategies, performance optimization, and strategic decision-making.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner effectively with key stakeholders across departments (e.g., Operations, Customer Service, Finance, Human Resources) to understand their needs, align forecasting and capacity plans, and drive collaborative solutions.
  • Workforce Management Technology: Evaluate, implement, and manage workforce management systems and tools to enhance forecasting accuracy, scheduling efficiency, and overall workforce optimization.
  • Employee Experience Focus: Develop capacity plans that promote a balanced workload distribution, minimize the need for excessive overtime, and contribute to improved employee morale, engagement, and retention.
  • Performance Monitoring and Continuous Improvement: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor the effectiveness of forecasting and capacity planning initiatives, identify areas for improvement, and drive continuous enhancement of strategies and processes.
  • Team Leadership and Development: Lead and mentor a team of workforce management professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous learning.

Key Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in related field preferred.
  • 8+ years' experience leading workforce management teams.
  • 5+ years' experience in forecasting and capacity planning.
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing sophisticated forecasting models and capacity planning strategies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable insights.
  • Proficiency in workforce management systems and tools; Verint experience preferred.
  • Excellent communication (oral and written), presentation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to align workforce management strategies with overall business objectives.

If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.

For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of 102,100 - 170,100 USD / yearly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.

This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
