Coffee Production Staff (Food Services)
Weigh coffee
Package, label and ship coffee
Pull inventory
Make deliveries to the other Zingerman's businesses and our other local (non-Zingerman's) customers
Load and unload a van for deliveries to our customers
Ship orders as needed, carefully packing items following systems and procedures.
Possess a valid driver's license and have a good driving record
Clean the warehouse/production area as needed
Assist with tasks as requested by the shift leader or manager
Receive and stock items received through back of house as directed by SOPs and Coffee/Candy managers in a timely manner
Attend and participate in huddles
Success Patterns for this position are:
You MUST be organized and accurate .... and work to eliminate waste.
You'll need to use some fairly basic math skills on a regular basis for recipes, blending, and conversion between weights in ounces, pounds, etc.
In addition to being organized and accurate, you'll need to be efficient and neat (tidy).
We expect you to think about how and why we do things and suggest ideas and methods to increase our efficiency and accuracy.
We expect a drama free work environment with any ideas/comments or suggestions directed towards the appropriate individual (supervisory or peer)
You can work within given time constraints (time and speed are a factor).
You can work occasional long shifts during peak periods of production (particularly during November and December) and occasionally throughout the year.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to relocate up to 50 lbs
Bending, stooping, walking and standing for long periods at a time
Must be able to ascend/descend between all levels of the customer facilities, often while relocating product

Some things we want you to know:
We work in a warehouse and it can get cold in the winter (but the roaster produces lots of heat!). It can get warm in the summer.
You will work in very close proximity to other people.
You will work in very close proximity to some heavy/loud equipment (it's a warehouse).
We support each other and look for ways to give good service not just to guests but fellow staff as well.
We drink lots of REALLY good coffee, you'll get to take some home (part of learning).
We work as a team and we all do whatever it takes.
We work in an environment of mutual respect.
