Validation Technician

General Summary: Responsible for writing validation and qualification protocols/reports. Coordinates the site equipment change-control program and works directly with customers during new product launches and product changes.

Essential Job Functions:

• Develops and review validation/qualification protocols.
• Prepares summary reports of the validation results and communicates to customers as required.
• Ensures all validation activities, including IQ, OQ, and PQ with appropriate personnel.
• Conducts training about validation activities as required by operations.
• Reviews and assesses the impact of changes to validation and/or qualification status for manufacturing/cleaning processes and laboratory/production equipment using appropriate change control procedures.
• Maintains and updates the Master Validation Plan as required.
• Works directly with customers during new product launches and product changes.
• Participates in New Product Review processes to remain abreast of pending changes within the specification system.

Qualification and Education Requirements:

• 2-year vocation/technical school degree or equivalent.
• Good interpersonal skills, organization and time management skills.
• Must be able to work with cross functional groups to improve lean efficiencies and validation timeline efficiencies and reduction in production downtime.
• Minimum of 2 years previous experience in validation or mechanical field in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Ability to carry out tasks and activities under the direction of project team members, taking responsibility on a daily basis for the timely completion of work.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
