What you will do

Controls all spend for the plant storeroom, MRO, safety supplies, services. Define and implement a spare parts stocking strategy and controls that ensure appropriate stocking levels are maintained for critical spare parts at all times.  Manage spare parts supply operations including quotation, ordering, receiving, invoicing, cycle counting, etc.  Oversee recruiting, training, and development for tool crib staff.  Ensure effective day to day tool crib management with daily report out on business impact.

• Provides quality components for manufacturing
• Develop and implements manufacturing cost savings and quality improvements
• With support from maintenance and production teams, ensure critical spare part levels are maintained at all times in a safe and organized manner.
• Further, establishes and maintains a harmonious relationship with vendors or prospective vendors in order to enhance the performance and reputation of the company. Further is accountable for advising management of improvements in materials and equipment, price changes, marketing changes and source changes.
• Procure materials to meet the goals of Clarios regarding inventory turns, cost, and quality and customer requirements. 
• Develop a spare parts inventory strategy which maintains optimal inventory levels, defines critical min/ max levels, and minimizes slow moving and obsolete inventory risk.
• Conduct regular review and analysis of inventory on hand including but not limited to; cycle counting, SLOB review, inventory accuracy, write-offs, etc.
• Lead and continuously improve tool crib operations related to spare part set up, quotation, ordering, receiving, invoicing, parts issue, parts return, etc.
• Develop and improve processes for issuing spare parts to authorized plant personnel including transactions in Maximo/SAP
• Support relationships with suppliers and /or contractors of especially in instances of unsatisfactory or substandard quality performance.  Arranges for appropriate corrective action to be taken.
• Transmit receiving information to accounts payable to ensure prompt payment of invoices and when appropriate.  Approve invoices for payment based on records of compliance to purchase by vendor.
• Assists with monitoring and resolution of open PO aging, GRIR, and Kofax issues
• Assign work duties to storeroom attendants based on business needs.
• Train and supervise storeroom personnel.  Facilitates team meetings when necessary to ensure all storeroom personnel understand critical process.
