Hydrogen Storage Business Development Manager, New Energies (Manufacturing)



Fundamental Mission:

This role presents an exciting opportunity to spearhead the growth of Vallourec's emerging hydrogen business in North America. As part of Vallourec® New Energies' Hydrogen start-up, the successful candidate will lead the commercial development of new offerings in the region, focusing on hydrogen storage solutions. By building customer demand and nurturing relationships with stakeholders and infrastructure operators in the hydrogen industry, the candidate will contribute to Vallourec's expanding portfolio of hydrogen projects.

 Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

  • Take ownership of the business development activities for our hydrogen storage solutions, including developing, executing, and regularly reviewing the strategies.
  • Provide valuable market and customer insights to position our offerings for optimal success.
  • Build strong relationships with customers and expand our customer base.
  • Design, implement, and execute a comprehensive go-to-market plan to drive business growth in the region.
  • Collaborate with technical sales, inside sales, and the hydrogen core team to respond to RFQs by delivering timely and well-crafted proposals and quotes.
  • Actively participate in events, fairs, conferences, and industry meetings to raise awareness of our hydrogen storage products.
  • Provide input to the Supply and Operational Plan (S&OP) on a regular basis.
  • Deliver accurate sales projections and forecasts regularly.
  • Consolidate feedback into the yearly business plan for regional consolidation.

  • Ability to synthesize market inputs into a cohesive market analysis for management review.

  • Ability to balance team and individual responsibilities, contributing to a positive team spirit.

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or Engineering.
  • Solid experience in product selling within the energy industry and experience in the Energy Transition field (5+ years).

Mobility:

  • The position may require up to 50% travel in the US and Canada.
  • The position is located in Houston.
