Unitizer Operator -2nd Shift (Finance)

Salary: $21.83 -$23.57

Position Summary:

The Unitizer Operator is responsible for o perat ing a console that controls automatic strapping equipment to place strapping around units of corrugated paperboard products .

Essential Functions :

Read production orders to determine arrangement of strapping around units of c orrugated paperboard products

Observe stacks/units moving alo ng conveyor to identify product a nd to detect defective product

Press console buttons to strap units/stacks t o predetermined specifications

Control conveyor that transfers strapped units/stacks to storage or delivery platform

Stop equi pment to clear jams

Inform superv isor of in the event of equipment malfunction

May keep record s of produ ction and equipment performance

Perform other duties as assigned by management /supervisors

Education/Certification

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Industrial Truck Operator certificate

Work Experience

Previous unitizer operator experience

Previous automatic bander operator experience

Ability to work overtime and weekends as required based upon the needs of the business

Ability to work on a rotating shift as needed
