Position Summary: 

The Senior Manager, Marketing will support the work of the Senior Director, Director, and Senior Manager, Product Marketing, as well as the executives, on projects directed at maximizing company profits by developing sales strategies and marketing campaigns.

Performance Objectives: 

  • Provide insights to marketing functions and initiatives by conducting market analytics, developing customer reports and product presentations, and performing other tasks that will help drive the business.
  • Learn and understand the company's business and overall goals to focus all work efforts on supporting and achieving those goals.
  • Identify, pull, and analyze various metrics related to marketing campaigns to assist the marketing brand team in making informed campaign and tactical decisions.
  • Manage brand materials through the Veeva Promotion Review Committee (PRC) promotional material process, including uploading materials into Veeva, tracking progress, monitoring expiration dates, etc.
  • Serve as back-up to Veeva coordinator.
  • Act as an additional editor by reviewing all marketing materials to ensure accuracy and alignment with brand standards.
  • Maintain an Excel-based centralized tracking system for Statements of Work (SOWs) and associated spend to ensure alignment with budget and support proactive financial management.
  • Contribute to outbound and inbound marketing activities by displaying expertise in certain areas such as event planning, advertising, optimization, and content development.
  • Regularly collaborate with team members, vendors, and other company employees to understand the needs of the brand team/marketing department.
  • Attend networking events and build industry connections to facilitate business growth.

Education/Certification Requirements: 

  • BA/BS degree in science or business-related discipline, or the equivalent in experience.
  • MBA or advanced like degree would be a plus.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • 4+ years of experience working in marketing, with a strong preference for backgrounds in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry, or from creative agencies supporting healthcare clients.
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully navigate internal review processes and achieve cross- functional harmony between working teams.
  • A positive attitude, flexibility, and a proactive, self-starting approach with the ability to take direction and run with it.
  • Proven ability to resolve conflict and achieve overall commercial goals.
  • Advanced analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex information and data.
  • Strong organizational, project, and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and adapt to shifting brand needs in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high-quality output across all tasks and deliverables.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to optimize strategic initiatives and support effective decision making.
  • Requires operational proficiency with PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
  • Knowledge of Veeva is a plus.
  • Requires some domestic travel.

The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $176,800 - $208,000 annually. This pay range is based on the market range for positions of this type. However, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including annual bonus/incentive comp plans, potential long term incentive plan, and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if a candidate/employee receives an offer of employment.  

If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
