Duties:
- Responsible for the scheduling of asphalt and asphalt emulsion orders to be shipped to municipalities and private contractors in Michigan.
- Weighing trucks in and out during the process of loading/unloading products.
- Answering phones, data entry and filing, ordering supplies for office and plant.
- Some AP/AR responsibilities.
- Also may sit in as backup for office manager in his/her absence entering daily payroll hours, energy costs, material costs, etc. into company software.
- Hours may vary except during peak season (April - October) hours are from 8am - 4pm and on-call 24/7.
Skills
- Must be able to maintain a positive attitude with co-workers, carrier dispatchers, truck drivers, customers and vendors by possessing strong interpersonal skills.
- Must be computer literate and be familiar with Microsoft Word and Power Point,
- Have strong familiarity with Microsoft Excel. In addition they must be fast, accurate, detail-orientated and organized.
- Must follow direction thoroughly and be able to work with minimal supervision.
Education
- Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED.
- Previous experience in an office setting and/or logistics is preferred but not required.
