What do we Manufacture?
- Pedigree, Cesar, Nutro, Royal Canin, Iams, Whiskas, Sheba pet food and Greenies and temptations treats.
What is the Required Shift?
Monday- Friday: 7am- 3:30pm
(Flexible pending business needs)
Job Purpose:
The Meat Prep Operator is responsible for supplying frozen meat to the factory via forklift in a timely manner while following safety protocols and production needs.
What are we looking for?
Minimum Requirement:
- High School diploma or GED
- Mechanical aptitude
Physical Requirements :
- Frequent lifting/carrying (10-50 lbs.) and frequent pushing/pulling (50-200 lbs.).
- Must be able to adapt to temperature and environmental extremes such as hot, cold, wet, dust, dirt and chemicals.
- Frequent handling/gripping/bending/stooping
- Ability to stand and / or work on feet for extended periods
- Ability to read, write and understand English
Preferred Qualifications :
- Forklift experience
- 1+ years of manufacturing experience
- Computer / IPad literate
- RF Scanner/Blue Yonder/JDA experience
What will be my Responsibilities?
- Comply with Mars Petcare Quality and Food Safety Practices, GMPs, and other Food Safety and Regulatory Standards to ensure we manufacture a quality product.
- This area consists of the Haarslev, meat screws, grinders, and bunkers.
- Changing the grinder blades/hole plates, as necessary.
- Process meat based on the recipe needs using the order screen for normal production and changeovers.
- Operate and drive forklifts to transfer meat.
- Assist in system start-up and shutdown activities
- Effectively communicate with peers, lead, area coordinator, and manager.
- Preform CIL's and document abnormalities
- Any ad hoc requests
