Sr. Manager, National Sales Operations - D.C. (Transportation)
Join our dynamic team at Scripps in Washington D.C. as we seek a strategic leader to support our National Sales Hub. In this role, you'll oversee critical business initiatives, manage political advertising compliance, and drive operational excellence across our sales platforms. Scripps offers a hybrid work option for this position.
Oversee Political CIA tracking and account reconciliation processes for Scripps Political & Advocacy business operations
Manage FCC disclosure compliance for all Scripps broadcast properties
Collaborate with VP of Political & Pay-for-Performance sales on operational design and workflow implementation
Work with Sr. Manager Technology Operations to update national sales workflows for greater efficiencies
Support company financial planning and metric-based reporting, focusing on budgeting and forecasting
Take ownership of national sales hub financials during month-end close process
Analyze variances to forecast and budgets, providing data to local leadership
Track and analyze national sales performance against established KPIs
Oversee Competitive Analyst in political years to ensure reporting meets industry standards
Maintain effective communication within the National Sales Hub and Corporate Finance
Analyze strategic initiatives and support decision-making
BS/BA in related discipline preferred or equivalent years of experience
Generally, 7+ years of experience in related field preferred
Prior managerial experience preferred
Strong financial and analytical skills
Solid understanding of financial concepts
Knowledge of broadcast sales and/or broadcast sales operations preferred
Broadcast, automation and digital media interest and aptitude
Strong oral and written communication skills
Ability to work well with all levels of management and employees
Ability to work independently with strong attention to detail
Ability to maintain confidential information
Project leadership skills with multiple team members across functions
Problem-solving abilities with minimal direction
Skills to conceptualize and build financial models from start to finish
Ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple projects concurrently
Critical thinking skills and broad business background
Strong foundation in MS Office tools with advanced Excel skills
Experience with WideOrbit preferred
