Job Description
Primary Function of Position

Intuitive is seeking a Tax Manager responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the corporate tax function and ensuring compliance and reporting with federal tax requirements. This role involves managing tax reporting, compliance, provision processes, and helping with strategic tax planning initiatives. The manager will also drive process improvements, automation efforts, and cross-functional partnership with finance, legal, treasury and external service providers.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Manage the consolidated federal income tax return compliance process in coordination with external service providers including, but not limited to, the preparation of taxable income and filing of Form 1120 and other required forms, preparation and filing of estimated and extension payments, and coordinating with state and international tax teams
  • Assist with the worldwide consolidation process for quarterly and annual income tax provision in accordance with ASC 740, including but not limited to, monthly reconciliation of tax accounts, preparation and review of components that back-up current and deferred taxes, uncertain tax positions, and coordination with external auditors
  • Coordinate with various tax functions to ensure that all requirements of income tax compliance and income tax provision are met
  • Perform and enhance SOX controls to effectively mitigate risk
  • Perform technical tax and accounting research, and provide suitable recommendations
  • Monitor and examine existing and proposed tax legislation and FASB guidance
  • Help the transformation of tax function to scale for growth, which includes tax technology adoption, process simplification and standardization, documentation and effective use of data and technology
  • Help continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency within the tax operations function
  • Build collaborative relationships across the Finance Organization
Qualifications
Required Skills and Experience
  • Minimum 6+ years combined public accounting and industry experience
  • Extensive federal, state, and US Int'l corporate tax compliance and reporting knowledge. Able to identify issues, examine and interpret relevant tax laws when handling complex subject matters
  • Proven knowledge of U.S. federal and state tax laws
  • Solid general accounting and income tax accounting (ASC740) knowledge
  • Detailed oriented and exceptional statistical skills
  • Exceptional project management skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills and relational skills
  • Proven ability to work in a high performance, fast-paced and deadline-driven environment
  • This role requires working onsite in our Sunnyvale, CA office Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday every week

Required Education and Training
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance

Preferred Qualifications
  • MST or CPA is a plus
  • International tax experience is a plus
  • SAP, Oracle or similar ERP system experience is a plus

Base Salary Range Region 1: $153,900 USD - $221,500 USD
Base Salary Range Region 2: $130,800 USD - $188,200 USD
