ADMISSIONS COUNSELOR (Human Resources)



Position Title: Admission Counselor/Recruiter 

Department: Enrollment Management 
Classification: Exempt  

Overview: 
Lane College is seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Admission Counselor/Recruiter to join our growing Enrollment Management team. This role is ideal for someone passionate about guiding students and families through the college admissions process. The successful candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, demonstrate exceptional interpersonal skills, and be committed to representing Lane College with professionalism and integrity. 

Key Responsibilities:  

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for prospective students and families, providing guidance on admissions, financial aid, and the enrollment process.  

  • Represent Lane College at college fairs, high school visits, community events, and expos—travel required, including some evenings and weekends.  

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with high school counselors, community colleges, and other key stakeholders.  

  • Coordinate and schedule recruitment visits, campus tours, and other outreach activities.  

  • Greet and assist visitors to the Admissions Office, including academic and community leaders.  

  • Organize and manage logistics for on- and off-campus events; including travel arrangements.  

  • Maintain accurate student records and ensure confidentiality in compliance with institutional and federal guidelines.  

  • Support the development of office systems and procedures to enhance efficiency.  

  • Perform other duties as assigned. 

Qualifications:  

  • Bachelor's degree required; minimum of two years of professional work experience.  

  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.  

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are important.  

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.  

  • Outstanding customer service and interpersonal skills.  

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).  

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.  

  • Familiarity with federal student financial aid programs and related software.  

  • Experience with Admission Pros and/or CAMS software is a plus.  

  • Availability to work flexible hours, including some nights and weekends.

    38,000-45,000 based on current budget, qualifications, and experience.
