Junior Programmer/Analyst (Information Technology)



As a Junior Programmer/Analyst, you play an essential role in supporting and enhancing the business software functions and ERP software and to monitor the Unix and Oracle environment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES & AUTHORITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Analyze business specific requirements and define solutions based on those requirements.
  • Perform programming based on function/technical specifications.
  • Provide support for enterprise systems such as ERP, PLM, reporting tools, and business intelligence platforms across Sales, Manufacturing, Warehouse, and Finance departments across TDK-Lambda Americas sites.
  • Perform unit and system testing and documentation.
  • Complete documentation of projects.
  • Develop reports.
  • Conduct data analysis and database management tasks to ensure data integrity and optimize system performance.

 

QUALIFICATIONS FOR A JUNIOR PROGRAMMER/ANALYST

  • One to three years of related experience (or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience).
  • Associate's Degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Ability to navigate and use the internet/intranet and other programs such as the MS Office package, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access, or company-wide cross-functional Enterprise Resource Planning software. Must also be able to perform limited troubleshooting.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
  • Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Knowledge of Linux, Unix and Windows a plus.
  • Working knowledge of Report Writing in SSRS.
  • Experience with and understanding of C, Visual Basic, Python, MS SQL, Oracle dB or other SQL.
  • Ability to use SQL to extract data from ERP and other sources using Access, Excel or query tools.
  • Understanding of different technologies based on Microsoft, Oracle, and open standards to understand and implement integration. e.g., Data warehousing, Reporting, XML, open standard protocols.
  • Knowledge of web technologies and protocols such as HTML, XML, JSON, REST and ETL is required.
  • Experience in scripting in Windows and Linux.
  • Ability to travel 25% of the time, including international.

 

SALARY RANGE 

The starting annual base pay for the role is between USD $50,000 and $70,000. The actual base is dependent upon many factors, such as training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs, and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. The role may also be eligible for variable bonus programs and benefits.
