Responsible for tracking inventory and maintaining accurate inventory records and able to research any inventory discrepancies. Display a strong understanding of the equipment the associate uses, the location of product, the lay-out of the warehouse, slot location, lost sales, mis picks, pack size, crane operations and all other applicable product information.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES:
Monitors product velocity and tracks lost sales and in-house shorts.
Researches inventory adjustments to maintain a high service level.
Initiates date checks, periodic cycle counts cycle counting the entire warehouse quarterly.
Researches mis-slots and quality issues, verifies pick slots and reserve stock inventories.
Process return to vendor requests.
Alerts management of potential safety problems or violations.
Tracks expiration dates. Tracks donation and salvaged product.
Perform duties in accordance with Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP) and Safe Quality Food (SQF) policies and procedures.
Maintains inventories in crane pick locations, corrects any replenishment issues with the cranes pick locations, and performs basic housekeeping in the crane areas.
Maintains SQF manual with updates and additions to the manual.
Collect PORC stamp documents from transportation, shipping and receiving.
Review, scan and file PORC stamp audits.
Reviews aisle inspection sheets and enters information into Merlin.
Calibrates probe thermometers and document calibrations.
Creates and prints cycle count sheets from the exception reports.
Make inventory adjustments from the information gathered from the cycle counts.
Scans and files cycle count sheets. Performs other job duties as required.
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION: High School Diploma/GED Certification and/or equivalent experience.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
System Implementation preferred.
Capability of being licensed in operating powered industrial equipment.
KNOWLEDGE:
Working knowledge of Excel spreadsheets.
Working knowledge of inventory software.
Working knowledge of internet software.
Working knowledge of the use of RF gun connected to an automated warehousing system.
