Role
As a software engineering intern working within the Crown Castle Network Services & Security (NSS) team, you will work alongside other software engineers and architects to write code and perform other tasks related to the creation and maintenance of API services and tools with a focus on automating network operations.
Responsibilities
-Participate in agile process meetings, including backlog refinement, sprint planning, sprint review and retrospectives.
-Write user stories for requested features and projects, based on conversations with stakeholders and team members.
-Collaborate with architects to propose designs for software projects.
-Build reports and dashboards using a combination of SQL queries and Grafana visualization software.
-Write code to satisfy requirements provided in user stories.
-Submit code for code reviews and comment & ask questions in code reviews of others' code.
-Use git source code management tool to create and manage feature branches and perform code commits.
-Write technical documentation using Confluence wiki software.

Education/Certifications
-Currently enrolled in pursuit of a Bachelor's degree from an accredited higher education institution
-Preferred field(s) of study: Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science
Experience/Minimum Requirements
-Authorization to work in the U.S. on a full-time, regular basis without additional sponsorship
-Basic proficiency with a modern programming language (python, PHP and/or Javascript preferred)
Reports to: Senior Manager of Application Development
Work Plans: This role falls into our hybrid work model working in your assigned office approximately 60% of the time (3 days per week) and where you do your best work 40% (2 days per week). There is an expectation of collaboration with teammates and stakeholders for moments that matter.
Compensation Information: For NYC residents, the hiring range offered for this position is $19.50 - $20.50 per hour.
